Estate Whim Museum
52 Estate Whim, Frederiksted
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands 00840
(Located on Centerline Road, in the west end of the island)
Estate Whim has long been known for its colonial-era Great House, laborers' quarters, and mill factory complex; but much more can be found on the museum’s twelve acres. Estate Whim Museum's features include Estate Whim Great House, the permanent My Granny House exhibit, rotating cultural exhibits in the North and South Exhibit Halls, and the Living Museum experience, Estate Whim's newest component.
A Living Museum
Estate Whim Museum is alive! Our artifacts and exhibits are not all that you can find here. You can also meet and learn from St. Croix's tradition bearers, or culture bearers: Crucian people who possess distinct knowledge and skills that characterize Crucian culture. Come see the tradition bearers currently demonstrating at Estate Whim Museum to learn about Crucian music, visual arts, food ways, and customs.
